Dear Parents,
As we get closer and closer to the end of term, the weeks seem to get busier and busier. It has been a whirlwind of activities here at school this week. Firstly, starting off with our Summer Fête last Friday, what a fantastic turnout we had. The food and drinks on offer were fabulous, and the raffle was, as always, full of excitement and anticipation. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our amazing FOPs team. They truly surpassed themselves.
On Wednesday evening, the majority of our Year 6s performed at Berkshire Maestros. After months of hard work in rehearsals, their performance was nothing short of spectacular! Mrs Whittaker was extremely proud of them all.
Meanwhile, our Early Years had an absolute blast at their sports day on Thursday morning. It was so heart-warming to see all the children participating in their races. Huge thanks to all the parents who came along to cheer on the mini-athletes – your support truly made the day even more special! A big thank you to our St Bernard's sports team for organising everything so well too!
On Thursday morning, we gathered for Mr. Cheesman's Retirement Mass. The Year 6 children conducted the service beautifully, and it was lovely to welcome Mr. Cheesman's wife, Lexi, and son, Fabian – a perfect tribute to a beloved member of our school community.
The Elocution Challenge on Thursday afternoon left us all speechless – the talent on display was simply remarkable. Our chair of Governors, Mrs Nockles said the standard of contestants seems to get better and better every year.
And if this day couldn't have got any better, we were all treated to a picnic lunch and an ice lolly.
Today, Year 4 had a fantastic time exploring the wonders of the Science Museum, sparking curiosity and excitement for the world of STEM.
Let's keep the momentum going as we head towards the end of term – there's still plenty more to come!
