Dear Parents,
At the end of our first full week back at school, I am impressed and inspired by how well everyone is adapting to the changes made around the school. In the week that the Prime Minister reinstated some restrictions, it is a reminder of why we have introduced all these new measures and I'm so proud of the children, who are taking it all in their stride.
This is a testing time for everyone and as ever the children are our priority, which is why we have introduced a Recovery Curriculum that will complement our usual timetable. The Recovery Curriculum has been designed by Barry Carpenter, a Professor of Mental Health in Education and Matthew Carpenter, Principal at Baxter College, and is designed to support the children in their transition back to school.
Thank you to all the parents who filled in the wellbeing survey. It has been really helpful to learn more about your concerns and to tailor our support for individuals. We are encouraged by how the children have spoken about their worries and fears - it gives us an opportunity to address them and provide reassurance in uncertain times.
